FAMOUS DESIGNER ARMCHAIRS : THE RIBBON

In 1968 the designer Carlos Ojínaga Erill made this spectacular armchair of unique design which he called "Sillón Cinta" and today it is one of the most famous designer armchairs in the country and internationally. 

As you can see, it is an original design armchair made of stainless steel, completely handcrafted by artisans. Its shape is reminiscent of a ribbon that wraps from the floor to the back of your body. Representative for its comfort, originality and innovative design, outstanding in its time and enduring for all these years.

Why is it one of the famous design armchairs? Well, the piece has been part of the Museum of Decorative Arts of Barcelona since 1995, and to this day has been one of the most representative designs of industrial design in Catalonia. The Museum of Decorative Arts of Barcelona describes it as "a ribbon of ductile appearance that intertwines in space". In turn, they call it a design-challenged armchair.
