OJÍNAGA IN THE MODERN ARCHITECTURE BUILDING DISTRICT

Ojinaga studio designs an exclusive workspace for an important law firm located in the "Quadrat d'Or" in Barcelona, a group of unique works of modernist architecture.

The client's premise was to recover the structure of the original apartment, working the moldings of the walls and recovering those of the ceilings.

Special pieces were introduced in order to enhance spaces such as the proposed leather ceilings; and an elaborate lighting project was carried out to achieve a comfortable and surprising atmosphere.

The combination of the client's classic style furniture pieces with exclusive and contemporary pieces from Ojínaga Design and Fendi was the key to achieve elegance, modernity, luxury, professionalism and confidence in each space.

QUADRAT D'OR - L'EIXAMPLE

The central part of the Eixample is occupied by the Quadrat d'Or, the set of blocks located around Paseo de Gracia, between the streets Aribau and Paseo de Sant Joan, Gran Vía and Diagonal. This was the main artery of the new Eixample that was born in 1860.

Following the Cerdà plan, the neighborhood was built with the money of the wealthy families of Barcelona. The city's bourgeoisie competed in aesthetic refinement with the construction of their homes in modernist buildings, with interiors and facades decorated with the most diverse materials, from ceramics to glass.

We see it in many of the modernist buildings on the right side of the Eixample, where works by architects such as Puig i Cadafalch, Domènech i Montaner or Gaudí himself, among others, proliferate. Strolling through the Eixample is synonymous with looking up to contemplate the artistic details of its facades, all unique. In the central area of Barcelona's district, we find many houses of surprising architecture. All of them boast splendid floral decorations, neo-Gothic details or elaborate stained glass windows that show us the best modernism.
